Every service below is delivered as a defined session or set of sessions, closing with something written you can keep and return to. There are no ongoing retainers and no open-ended engagements — each service has a clear scope from the outset.
STAGE — INQUIRY FRAMING
Inquiry Framing Session
A session held before an inquiry begins, to establish what question is being asked and what an answer would look like either way. We help separate a suspicion from a testable proposition, decide what evidence would settle it, agree in advance what would cause you to stop, and identify which parts can be pursued through open channels.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
- One 90-minute framing session
- A written framing note with the question and evidence sought
- An agreed point of reassessment
Once a question is properly framed, the next stage is usually keeping an honest record as material comes in.
STAGE — CHRONOLOGY
Chronology Construction
Practical work on building a defensible chronology from mixed material. We cover dating events against documents rather than recollection, recording the source of each entry, marking where dates are approximate, handling accounts that place the same event at different times, and using the finished chronology to identify gaps worth pursuing.

- Two 75-minute sessions applied to your material

- Written notes on the specific gaps identified
With a sound chronology in hand, the last stage before publication is a structured check of the finished piece.
STAGE — PRE-PUBLICATION REVIEW
Pre-Publication Review Support
A structured review of a completed investigative piece before it goes out. We check that every assertion is supported by material you actually hold, that individuals named have been approached properly and given adequate time to respond, that the language matches the strength of the evidence, and that the piece would be defensible if questioned.

- A written review within seven working days
- Two 45-minute follow-up calls
